“Having had a poem featured in Edition 13 of Steel Jackdaw, I was eager to read this eclectic magazine and have to say that it has far exceeded my expectations. From the cover art to the feast of writing, reviews and articles, I was transported into a world of wonder. The piece on Black Mountains College really captured my interest, as did reading about the community projects, the haiku competition and storyteller Charlie Sanderson. The poetry was strong and I liked the way each poet gave some of the background to the poems. I also enjoyed the superb photography by Danil Komov. What a treat! All I can say is that I’m looking forward to reading the next edition. Hats off to Editor Jason Conway for orchestrating it all. I can see his heart is in it.”
